Cloud Computing and Teaching

Ever since its inception web has been a veritable resource for teaching community. In its early stages when it was popularly known as Internet academic community was using for communication, community setting and file transfer purposes. With the advent of web technologies and more recently of services such as online docs, wiki and many more the usefulness of web has increased in the context of teaching. There are many examples where in people have been using web tools such blog to conduct courses online or supplement their classroom teaching.

The current trend towards cloud computing is expected to give further boost in this direction making web a even more useful resource for teaching. The cloud computing promises to make web the home of all computing resources and allow user to avail on retail basis. This approach which is already revolutionizing the business world has similar potential to transform teaching. There are already examples where in a teacher has combined cloud resources in creative manner to offer course on the web. As in the case of business, the limits are imposed only our imagination
